The Cottage on
Cates Hill

About 100 metres from the Lodge on Cates Hill is The Cottage.  Equipped with its own kitchen, living and dining area, it has two bedrooms upstairs – one with a double bed and one with two twin beds.  There is a full bathroom upstairs, a small bathroom on the main floor, as well as a washer/dryer.  There is also a small deck off the dining room.  The Cottage nestled in the woods, across the parking lot from the Lodge and up a short driveway,  offers privacy and seclusion.  There is no wifi in the Cottage. 

All who come on retreat are invited into the rhythm of Rivendell prayer life, at 8 am and 5 pm in the Sanctuary, as well as to enter into the spirit of the peaceful ambience.

Bookings for the cottage are at the discretion of the bookings team with priority use for families and for those involved in ministry, community work or social justice who are in need of respite.

Rivendell, as a living sanctuary, is a welcoming ecological facility where guests are invited to be custodians of their own living spaces and common areas, cooperating in the practices of recycling and conservation of energy as well as following general guidelines for community living and cleaning.
